Whole30 Superbowl Recipes

How to do a healthier party....

Good morning everyone....With the Superbowl coming next Sunday this is a good time to talk about how to handle special events/parties when eating Whole30.

Whether you care about the game or not think about it like a holiday or a special party you might have for friends. If the Chiefs or the Bucs don't float your boat that's fine but ponder the question - How will you plan for a party/special event on a Whole30?

I know one thing, you can do this party totally Whole30 and none of your guests would know and they would leave raving about your delicious menu items.

Here are some of my favorite Super Bowl ideas here:

- Whole30 Compatible Kielbasa cut up and cooked o grill (Or for us smoker) we just throw some toothpicks out and it's easy finger food

Buffalo Wings and wings with dry rub - Again, we use our smoker but you can use an air fryer, a grill, or an oven. New Primal has great dry rub that's Buffalo and 3 tiers of wing sauce. Simply marinate for awhile in the sauce and rub and it's so simple and yet sooo good. I love making other kinds of dry rub at home like Jerk, and Lemon Pepper!

What's your favorite wing flavor? Experiment and come up with another flavor you might love. I've also used compatible ranch dressing to dip them in.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Dip - One of my absolute favorite party foods on a Whole30! I like to up the ante with this one and buy a fresh rotisserie chicken and cut it up to use in the dip. It's AMAZING. I use carrots and celery to dip in it.

-Paleo Powder Coconut Shrimp - I use the Coconut + Almond Paleo Powder Pink for this. Here's the oven recipe but I did mine in the air fryer (Ninja Foodi)

You need 1 lb of shrimp, 2 egg whites and a 1/4 cup of Paleo Powder Coating Mix. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place baking rack on baking sheet. Whisk egg whites in a shallow bowl; place coating mix in a 2nd shallow bowl. Dip shrimp in egg whites then immediately press them into the coating mix. Place shrimp on baking rack. Bake for 6 minutes, flip shrimp, bake fo an additional 6 minutes.

Buffalo Shrimp - even simpler you say? Toss some shrimp with a little bit of oil and the New Primal Buffalo Seasoning and throw on the grill. You won't be disappointed!

-Smoked meat - I know not everyone has a smoker but we love smoking some ribs, pork, chicken or even brisket on the weekend. It lasts us for a lot of the week and it's just really good especially if you pair it with New Primal BBQ sauces. You can utilize the grill, the oven, or even the crockpot to make something like this. It's a great way to meal prep for the week or feed a few people.

One more party fave that I love...

-Smoked Pecans - this recipe is in Melissa's Whole30 Friends & Family cookbook...super easy. Spicy mix with some ghee, in the oven and it's quick and easy to put out for your guests.

Hope these recipes help you get ready for the big game in a healthier way!

Last question if you are watching the Superbowl who are you rooting for Chiefs or Bucs?
